Academic and Career Advising
Blinn A&M

Students utilize academic advising and career services available in the Bryan Advising Office (http://www.blinn.edu/advising/).

Academic advising for TEAM students is provided by the Transition Academic Programs Department at A&M (http://tap.tamu.edu)

Advising offices are located on the third floor of Hotard Hall, on the north side of campus. Students receive advising tips and announcements by way of a list serve maintained by the department. Students receive timely information through their Texas A&M email account.

Career counseling at Texas A&M University is provided by Student Counseling Services (http://www.scs.tamu.edu/), located in Cain Hall.

Career advising is available through the Texas A&M Career Center. A variety of resources are offered to assist students with career development, to include choosing a major or career. (https://careercenter.tamu.edu/About-Us/Meet-the-Team)

All financial aid for eligible Blinn TEAM students is disbursed by the Texas A&M Office of Financial Aid (http://financialaid.tamu.edu/ ). Thanks to a consortium formed by Blinn College and Texas A&M, eligible students receive financial aid based on their combined enrollment at both schools.

Texas Guaranteed Tuition Plan (formerly Texas Tomorrow Fund) may be used at both schools, but students must follow the procedures for Blinn and A&M each semester.

The Department of Multicultural Services is located in the John J. Koldus Building. The department goals are to assist underrepresented students transitioning to Texas A&M University while providing academic and educational services for all students. This is accomplished by providing leadership opportunities, co-curricular and challenge, and enhance students’ development and global perspectives.

Shuttle Service Between Campuses

Blinn TEAM students are able to use the Texas A&M Transit service. Transit provides a convenient and economical shuttle servicing the Bryan/College Station community. Service is provided between the hours of 7 a.m. and 10 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on weekends. There is a route dedicated to service between the Texas A&M and Blinn College campuses (Route 12, the -Reveille- route). http://transport.tamu.edu/transit.aspx
